I have been working with computers for 55 years now. During that time computers have become much cleverer and much smaller. I can’t say that about the author!
At first, a computer person was a big fish in a small pond. There were not many manufacturers and only large companies could afford to have a computer. Now someone starting out in Information Technology can only hope to scratch the surface of the subject because there is such a huge range of hardware, software and applications.
Still, not much of an excuse for not continuing to scratch away. Animating Noah the Boa has enabled me to learn a bit of Unity but still only a small section. When you look at the 3D games out there, the potential of the platform and game engines in general is clear.
Information Technology is a fascinating area to work in and developments will only get faster and faster. I hope to keep up with some of them.
